DISCOVERY partner SAVI attended and presented in the panel session of Looking Ahead: Future Research and US and International Interoperability Needs at the 25th GENI Engineering Conference host in Miami, March 14, 2017.
Hadi Bannazadeh from University of Toronto presented about the SAVI testbed vision and highlighted the Discovery Project. Hadi highlighed in the session that DISCOVERY is fostering EU-North American ICT research collaboration in Software-Defined Exchanges to federate international testbeds and Containerization and IoT cloud integration for smart cities.
In addition, sample projects on testbed such as NFV and advanced SDN services, orchestration and measurement & monitoring, infrastructure & application layer M&M, smart city platform requirements, replicability, scalability of IoT, interoperability across sectors and regions were also presented in the panel session.
Being present at the GENI Engineering Conference, DISCOVERY gained more visibility in North America by collaborating with GENI, contributing to the cause of building up potential ICT R&I partnership between Europe and North America.
